Anyhow as Leyton has been sick I haven’t been able to pick up his half of the photos and videos from Thailand and thus haven’t finished my travel blog. He is back at work today so I should be able to pick them up tomorrow and will finish the blog.

Up early to catch our pre-book taxi with Mr. Toy – Sexytime Taxi.

We missed our buffet breakfast that they promised to box up for us only to turn back in the cab 10mins later to come and get it, we ended up eating in the back of the cab.

The flight was long and boring and I just wanted to be home, the stop over in Sydney wasn’t too bad (I got an Australian magazine to read) and then a quick flight home to Brissy.

Today we head back to Bangkok, took us over an hour to pack our bags so we ended up having crappy breakfast at the hotel again. We ended up sharing a taxi to the airport with Brooke the New Zealander chick as her plane was leaving today as well.
Rushed and then the flight was delayed….always the way.

While at the Phuket Airport I had a weird triple decker sandwich.

The flight back was slow and we had to sit by ourselves because of the stupid airline (and maybe because we checked-in late). Our cab driver from the Bangkok Airport to our hotel was awesome though. He had a pimped out cab with a crazy stereo and dvd player, once we got on the highway he asked “Do you like sexytime?” and then put on a bikini contest dvd on in the cab…..Hilarious!

We arrived at Dream and went to check in but they upgraded us to the new Dream² Hotel….very nice.
Dean arrived shortly after and we headed out for some dinner at a flash Japanese restaurant for some curry chicken and sushi. Then on to the Singha Beer Garden, where we had a tower of Singha and our own attendant that would discreetly fill up our glasses as they needed it.

We visited the club/bar area of Soy Cowboy….which reminded me of Patpong, then played some pool at a pool hall and ended back at Khao Sahn Rd again for some hot henna action (Leyton and I got henna tattoos).

We headed back to Soy Cowboy but it was getting late and the scene was dying off so we called it a night and went home.

Hell yes.

Today is beach day!

We started with a lame ass breakfast from the hotel but that wasn’t about to get me down, we headed off down the street. Jody needed money exchanged and had to get some ties for her brother…that was cool cause all the tailors were air-conditioned and it was friggin hot! We then stopped at a little gift place and everyone stocked up on presents for people back home.

The Beach looked great and we got straight to it, hired ourselves some chairs and umbrellas and away we went. The water was unbelievably good….perfect temperature. After a few hours we decided to hire a jet-ski, Jody and I went down to price it, we were going to take it in 3rds but it turned out we couldn’t come back in and change riders so it was just Jody and me….sorry Lates, S2BU. :-p

After all our beach fun we packed up did a little wandering around the empty markets and sat down for some lunch. It took awhile but the staff were really nice and the food was great as usual, even though the prawns with heads on freaked Jody and I had to help her take them off

We headed back to the hotel doing more shopping on the way and sadly Jody had to pack her stuff as she had to catch an early flight back home, those seals wont club themselves. We had a great time and you totally better leave me some comments on this blog!

After Jody left Bom informed us that the rest of the peeps had either left or made other plans for dinner so I suggested that he take us out for some traditional Thai cuisine with just the boys (Bom, Leyto, Flavio & Myself). We went to this little street restaurant and Bom, Leyton and Flavio) but good. He then suggested we checkout Patpong for the sights and a few more drinks so off we went! ordered for us, the food was really good (a little too hot for

All I can say about Patpong is there is bars everywhere, girls everywhere and ladyboys EVERYWHERE! All in all we had a great time though.

Final destination….Phuket, and about time.

Another early rise from our beloved tropical island huts and off again on tut tuts to the long-tail boat for our final sea journey to Phuket. To keep our minds sharp and our wits about us we all played a serious game of fences. I would like to say I would have won…yes I won.

We arrived and caught a short bus ride to the Gibbon Sanctuary, there we got to see plenty of crazy looking monkey types and got to realise how most people in our group don’t actually know how to use their own cameras. There were no flashes allowed and I am pretty sure I was one Gibbon in the back cage getting down because he thought it was some sort of rave party with strobes.

Someone told us the waterfall was gay so we skipped that had lunch and got back on the bus destined for our hotel at Karon Beach, Phuket.
We kicked it at the hotel for a while and headed out to check out the beach and fantastic markets.

That night we had our final group dinner because a few of the people in our group were leaving the next day, for us it was a good chance to get cocktails in pineapples and coconuts. After dinner we all headed down to the water and let flower boats and lanterns go to celebrate the ‘Thai Festival of Lights’

Early start this morning, me and the Doc had a big breakfast pre-ordered and got our energy up for a big day out on the open seas. We set off early out to our first island for some snorkeling and picnic lunch, I sat out of the snorkeling due to my foot and cracked the sads for a little bit but got over it when Jody came out so I sat with her while she cooked herself for awhile on the beach.

Lunch was good, and we were off again. This time free to roam the next island, everyone went their separate ways so Leyton and I found a cool place in the shade as we both fear the sun as you can see by our milky completion.

Eventually Tom and Jody arrived and Jody had as they refer to in the medical world as “ADD Flipout” and was climbing trees and hiding in caves, much to our amusement of course. (see pics below) The craziness must have rubbed off cause we all ended up doing YMCA poses on the self-timer and stunned the other lame ass tourists.

I finally gave in and went swimming with Jody and Leyton, was really good to be involved again and stop being damaged goods, my chances for staying in Survivor just got a little better

We ended the night with a seafood buffet that everyone but the Aussies bailed on and then Jody and I had some lessons on female self stimulation from Cosmo …thanks Cosmo.

Today we left J Mansion early on a bench seat bus to the long tail boat to take us to Ko Yao Noi, a small island where we will be staying in huts.

There was an hour to kill while we waited for the boat to arrive so Jodie painted our nails….very hetro I know.

We finally got our boat ride and arrived at the ‘ Cottage’ which had awesome little huts, Leyton shotgunned the double so I got stuck with the single. We had a little afternoon entertainment as well as Brooke (the NZ girl) showed us how to open a Coconut.

Then a brief trip to the local CBD to invest our western dollar in some traditional 7/11 goods…..helping the local economy wherever we can.

We finished up with dinner then some late night cards, and waking our neighbors because they went all Nana on us and went to bed at like 8pm.

Jody and Leyton then put me through some dramatic rural surgery in our hut by trying to remove my pulled stitches with a blunt knife from Leyton’s multitool. (You’re a Multitool Leyton)

Advantage Thailand.

Today everyone else went out on the scheduled boating and snorkeling trip and I decided to stay home and have the friendly staff at ‘J Mansion’ take care of me.

I had a very strange breakfast given to me as I saw off the rest of the group (rice, beef jerky & cucumber)…but it did wonders for my hangover.

I went back to my room and slept for a little while, watched some crazy Thai TV and then went out to do some shopping and have a little lunch. Found an awesome place by the beach and had some Pad Thai. When I got back ‘Mr. Big’ had fixed our Air-Con and the room was fantastic.

Jody, Leyton and the rest of the group came back at about 3:30 and we ended up just hanging in our room watching insightful T.V about couples until late, and then headed for 7/11 for some dinner (L&J were both feeling sick).

I ended my relaxing day by looking at photos of Cambodia and sick kiddies on Jody’s camera, she had just spent the previous 2 weeks there on a mission for ‘Operation Smile’.

Today we got up early after a night on our Duty Free Bacardi and to my slight disappointment headed off on the elective trip to Phi Phi Islands on a snorkeling trip. It started out really well, I bought myself a towel on the way so was all set.
Our first stop was pretty good and got in some awesome snorkeling however on the second stop as I jumped out of the back of the boat I landed right on the coral and cut myself. At first I thought ‘that will need a band-aid and then another girl came over and said “you need to get out of the water…now”.
So I looked back and there was a massive cloud of blood behind me (we were in open water too by the way), so I got back into the boat and there it was squirting all over the place…and that’s how I used my brand new beach towel.

Anyway they put me on a speedboat and took me straight over the the Phi Phi Islands hospital, Leyton came with. They did a great job of stitching me back up and I was all sorted in under an hour.

Don’t jump on Coral it doesn’t like it!

This morning we headed for some breakfast on ‘Kao Sahn Rd’ and ended up getting back late to the hotel and then missed our first meting with the group – I blame Leyton or should I say ‘LATEon’ I thought we had missed the first Temple tour and would have to spend the day at the pool …..but we found them in a back room so we were all good to go.

The temples were interesting, heaps of tourists there though. Funniest thing was when Leyton and I were coming down the steep stairs from the top of a temple along with about 3 or 4 other people and an American woman stops us and says “Can we go up there?”…..they are special.

We lost one of our group members and spent ages looking for her, I can’t remember who brought it up but we introduced our own “Survivor Thailand” and decided June would be the first one voted off.
Leyton, Jody (a cool I mean cold Canadian) and I went to have lunch at the same place we had dinner last night except lunch too so long we had to get it to go and quickly eat it in the foyer of the ‘Veng Thai’, I am sure they didn’t mind.

Whilst waiting everyone realised we were missing someone….again. Turns out the other Australian on the tour had left to vote at the Australian Embassey but got lost or something and we started to leave without her as we had a plane to catch to Krabi. She arrived just before we drove off and Joyce was lucky as Karon become the number one contender for first off ‘Survivor Thailand’, she didn’t seem to happy about that either….nice one Jody!

We arrived in Krabi a few hours later after an OMG unbelievable experience at the Airport….we saw ‘Beng Chang Lao” the Japanese rock star!

Our hotel was called J Mansion and it was run by Mr. Big
We found out after our introduction that the entire group was under the impression Leyton and I were totally gay for each other!

Huge night on the piss at ‘Oh My Cod’ last night drinking so the buffet breakfast in the hotel this morning was a godsend ….pity the coffee here all takes like ass.

Leyton and I did a little more shopping at the famous ‘Khao Sahn Road’ after breakfast and meet Dean back at the hotel for another adventurous day in the ‘Kok’

While at MBK (the massive shopping centre we decided to see a movie (Michael Collins), it was pretty crap but the funny thing was you have to stand to attention for an ad about the king right before the movie, very strange.

After some more shopping we left Dean and ventured back to Veng Thai all by ourselves to meet our Intrepid tour leader and the group. Most of the people of the tour had just come from another tour up North and had their final dinner on so Leyton and I went and had beers with our tour leader ‘Bom’.

Bom left us but recommended dinner at “Au Thong” a place just down the road – good food, and lots of cats.

We then spent the rest of the night wandering around ‘Khao Sahn Rd’ taking in all the sights and ended with a Thai massage, unfortunately it was from dudes ….a little weird.

Tomorrow we start the tour.

The flight was pretty good, had a few drinks, the movie sucked “Underdog” so we had a bit of a sleep.
We managed to get to Dean’s place in Bangkok after a few translation issues and a call to Dean.

Had a quick Breakfast at the Dream hotel restaurant (where we will be staying on our final night in Bangkok), it was very fancy indeed.

Dean took us on a tour of the main shopping centres in the city (MBK & Some I.T Super Centre), it was unbelievable to see the size of these places and the increable amount of clothing, mobile phones and food.

Lunch was Korean BBQ ….soo much fun.

We finally ended up back at our Hotel ‘Veng Thai’ for a quick shower and then off to dinner at “Ohh My Cod” an English fish and chips place ….classic

Today’s the day, finally off on my 10 day Intrepid trip to Thailand. The plane leaves in a few hours so I have to go and pick up Leyton…because he is tagging along

We are flying Thai Air so it should be a pretty good flight (about 9hrs) so should have plenty of time to get tipsy and fall asleep.
