I write this as I wait at the airport in Barcelona after 5 fantastic days.
Barcelona is great, everyone here is nice and the entire city caters for and loves tourists. I got a place right in the middle of the city surround by sights, bars and restaurants.
I did soo much in Barcelona, I will summarize it otherwise this post will be too long (and I can’t be assed typing that much).
Day 01:
- Went out for lunch after I arrived (great food)
- Went to Hard Rock for drinks and then dinner (Hard Rock is awesome overseas and the Barcelona cafe won ‘Cafe of the Year’)
Day 02:
- Spent a few hours on the net booking accommodation in Rome & flights (can’t handle another overnight train ride just yet)
- Generally chilled out and drank more Sangria
Day 03:
- Walked up a mountain
- Took a Sky Gondola up even higher to an old castle
- Visited the 92′ Olympic stadium and grounds
- Saw a massive museum and many more city fountains & monuments
- Had quiet drinks at the hotel as I was trashed
Day 04:
- More chillaxing with Sangria
- Prawns and beer by the port (loads of massive cruise ships were in dock)
- Visited the beach, however it was cold and windy so I didn’t go in
Day 05:
- Pack up and head for the airport
…when I write it like that it doesn’t actually seem that much.
Anyways I leave for Rome in about an hour and should have a lot to write about once there. The trip is getting close to finishing as I only have Rome, Athens and a Greek Island left.
Glad I cut it shorter as I can spend more time and money in each place.
